Fluids and Flow Testing

The IES Murrieta Test Facility (MTF) provides comprehensive fluids and flow testing across a broad range of applications and fluid types, including liquid hydrogen (LH₂), liquid nitrogen (LN₂), liquid oxygen (LOX), liquid helium (LHe), water, oils, fuels, and industrial fluids. Our flexible infrastructure supports flow rates ranging from a few milliliters per minute to hundreds of gallons per minute, allowing us to test everything from low-flow systems and precision components to high-volume pumps and fluid-handling equipment.

Our engineers and technicians bring decades of experience in fluid dynamics, flow measurement, and test system development. We can evaluate pressure drop, cavitation, turbulence, pump and valve performance, flow characteristics, thermal transfer, and other fluid-system parameters. Custom test setups, high-accuracy instrumentation, automated data acquisition, and application-specific control systems allow us to develop test programs tailored to each customer's requirements.

IES supports aerospace, space, energy, automotive, and industrial applications where fluid performance and system reliability are critical. Our engineering-driven approach allows us to design, configure, and rapidly modify test systems as requirements evolve, providing accurate, repeatable data for design validation, troubleshooting, performance characterization, and qualification.

Whether evaluating a new fluid component, characterizing turbomachinery, troubleshooting an existing system, or qualifying flight-critical hardware, IES provides the fluid-handling infrastructure, engineering expertise, instrumentation, and test capabilities required to understand and validate system performance.
